The last time I posted we were getting ready to go on vacation. Well we came back, I know you were wondering since I haven't posted in a while. Vacation was great. We headed to Branson and St. Louis. Both are fun places, however we wish we knew our way around St. Louis a little better.
Lets see....what all has happened since I posted last.
Brixon had his 3rd birthday in August.
Baseball season started and is almost finished till the spring. Currently we are 12 and 1. We have a great team.
Work has it's busy days and slow days. I guess that is to be expected in the financially industry.
Brixon and I are getting ready to go on vacation again w/ my parents. We are heading to the Memphis area to visit, go to the zoo and hopefully eat some bbq.
I need to post some pics soon huh. I will work on that, promise.

Picture Update.....
Who would want to come and read here if there are not any pictures????
Just a quick update first: I mentioned in my last post that my uncle Don was diagnosed w/ the ugly 'C' word. His scan did show that the 'C' has spread. He will be injected Friday w/ a medicine we pray puts the 'C' in remission. Please join us in this prayer.

Brixon is calling PaPa and Granny to tell them we are almost there.

The elephants just about did PaPa in. Up and down, round and round
You can see Granny in the elephant behind, she took and elephant from some little kid that had to wait another turn. Talk about a big kid.

Everyone but me in the tea cups. Someone has to take the pictures.

Oh, there I am!! Do you know all I heard all day was that I was wearing old lady shorts. I thought they were trendy, is that not the case anymore. I wish someone would keep me up to date on the current trends.

Look at me mom!!

Look closely, there is Clay third from left and mom next to him w/ her mouth wide open and hanging on tight.

Chooo.Choooo.

And these are a few of our favorite things about SUMMER!!!

Please Pray...
My uncle Don who lives in Memphis needs your prayers. He has been diagnosed w/ cancer. He had a bone scan today and a cat scan Monday to see if the cancer is outside the area. Please keep him, my aunt Liz and their kids in your prayers.
School is out and Clay is currently working on the Honey Do list. We have remodeled our office (or should I say he). However I have gone through and threw a whole bunch of stuff away. Next week we (the contractor Joe) are tearing down a wall and putting down beautiful hardwood floors. I am so excited.

I will have to post pictures when we are finished. Right now things aren't very organized.
I hope everyone is doing good.

WOW... Time gets away
Well I haven't wrote for awhile and thought it might be a good time to finally get that done.
Things are going good around here. We are getting lots of rain. Which means daddy's ballgames have been rained out and he has been able to spend more time at home. Yea!!! Baseball season is going well, I can't tell you what their record is, other than it is a winning one. I guess that is all that matters huh.
Since my last update we have managed to go fishing a few more time. The hatchery was stocked w/ some good size catfish which Brixon was thrilled about.

I got my hair cut off. It was a little shorter than I expected, but I have grown to like it. It feels more professional than when it was longer. I guess it is a matter of personal opinion.
Mom has retired, and retiring she has done. They have been traveling fools. As I type they are somewhere towards South Dakota. I am excited that they are able to do this though. They have worked hard and need to enjoy life in the slow lane. I do mean slow lane. You know what I mean if you have ever rode or followed my dad.
Anyway, I will try to post more often.... I promise!!

What a day!
Well I really don't like shopping. But..... I took the day off, dropped Brixon off at his sitters and headed to Springfield.
I really didn't have anything in mind, other than I wasn't going to be a tight wad and get stressed out about spending some $$. Well I came home with lots of goodies for the whole family and had a wonderful day.
Daddy has his first game tonight, I will keep you posted.

Spring is almost here!
Well Baseball has officially started. We are excited about it. Brixon and I stopped by the field to watch the end of practice and you could see on Clays face how much excitement he has to be out their on the field w/ those boys. Anyway, stayed tune for how the season is going.
Today Mr. Brixon has preschool screening and I was so excited to hear all the good stuff they had to say about his motor skills and all that stuff they test him at. He was so excited to go to "school today" he wanted to ride the bus, but I had to tell him we would just have to drive ourselves this time. He proceeded to tell me he would ride the bus to the baseball game. He is so funny.

Big Boy Bed!
After being his his big boy bed two months. This morning at 6 a.m. I hear this little foot steps. I wait a sec and raise up and I see this little figure come running into our bed room. One big smile on his face and his arms stretch wide open wanting to be put into bed with us. But the cool thing is......
This is the first time he has got out of his bed, by himself in two months.
The reason it took me so long to put him in a big boy bed was b/c I thought I couldn't keep him in it.
He loves to prove me wrong!!
In case I don't write before......
Happy Valentines Day!!

Kids Say the darnest things!
After last nights episode of throwing up and going to bed at 6:30 who would have thought he would have been full of spunk tonight.
Keep in mind this is coming from a TWO year old.
1. After getting in trouble, he pulls his pants and underwear down and ask me to kiss his bottom. What do ya do??
2. After stubbing his finger when grabbing a book from his shelf he thinks he needs to go to the Dr.
I need to start writing down these as he says them. Especially when he is in trouble, it is so hard not to laugh.
Hope everyone is doing good. We are doing great and thanking God everyday for all he has blessed us with.
I would love to hear from you guys. Please leave a message.

Look who is FAMOUS!!
Mom got home last night and guess what she had to show me.
(For those of you who don't know. Mom stays w/ Clay and I two nights a week so she doesn't have to drive back and forth from Wheatland to work. Only till March when she fully retires).
Go to www.furfishgame.com and click on Current Issue. PaPa Barner made it to a major magazine. For those of you who don't know him. He is the one with that big fish.
Pretty Cool. We are so proud.

What a Week!
I hope everyone had a good week. I will be the first to say that I am glad that the weekend has arrived.
However, we will be traveling to Branson this weekend for a birthday party. Years ago I would want to go early and shop and what not. These days, I want to go and get home. Home Sweet Home. Don't get me wrong, we will have a wonderful time at the party. I am a homebody these days and I like it.
Clay had a good week at school. He is ready for ball season. Banking was crazy as ever. Economic times makes my job difficult. All I can say is hold on tight and it will eventually bounce back. Rates are low on the investing side, but good on the borrowing side. Just hope you have very good credit if going to get a loan.
Brixon..... Whew, he is on a Woody "Toy Story kick" It is cute to see him say the lines.
Take care and have a wonderful, safe weekend.

Quick update
Hello everyone,
Not much going on here since Christmas. We have all been taking it easy. Working and spending time together.
I have got our first cold/sinus infection of the season and I ready for it to go away. I think I am on the tail end of it.
Brixon is doing good. He is so funny. He goes from being really sweet to being bossy. I think it is an only child thing. Maybe he is a little spoiled. I will have to post a cute little picture I took of him before church on Sunday. He was being a little ham.
Take care, I would love to hear from you guys.
Love and prayer,
Ronda
